Hi I'm Elizabeth

I am an A Level student. I study hard, but always find time for the gospel. I am proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I am a 17 year old girl, who does the average teenage girl stuff. I live with my mum and little brother, and of course my cat! I study History, Literature, Media Studies and Philosophy and Ethics. Most importantly though, I live and breath history. It's my passion, and I love it so much! Mainly because I'm interested in how other people lived, and how they overcame challenges. It just interests me so much! I am also a big europhile, I love European culture, and I'm so proud of my European heritage. I also love the Eurovision Song Contest - rather embarrassing - but I'm afraid true! Loving Eurovision is a big part of my life, I love how even though we live in the same continent, there is just so much culture and heritage embedded into Eurovision, it's truly amazing! I also love singing and acting, it has been a passion of mine since I was little girl. It's just so fulfilling and invigorating!

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into the church, I have my own conversion story. Just recently I have had to deal with my parents being divorced, which at any age is hard for any child to go through. Without the church, I would have not been able to cope. The love and guidance from members has strengthened me, my brother and my mother, whom I love dearly. I have a strong testimony that this is the true church, that I am not alone during the times where I have had to deal with many trials. Without His gospel, I can't begin to imagine where I would be. I have family and friends in the gospel who have strengthened me, I love them all.

How I live my faith

As a youth, it is often difficult in this world to cope with temptation, but I seem to manage somehow! Every morning I attend a youth study group, which looks at the scriptures in great detail, we can even memorise some if we want to! It is exhausting, as I do have to wake up very early and then go to school afterwards, but I do enjoy it, and it really uplifts me for the rest of the day! I also attend a class every Sunday, where girls of similar age to my own, come and learn about the gospel. We also have activities every week, which can range from all sorts of activities such as, sport to cooking to crafts! It's a really exciting time and I really enjoy it. I also attend activities with other members of the youth in the surrounding area - which means I get to make lots of friends, and I really enjoy the activities and getting to know everyone.
