Hi I'm Emma

I grew up in Leicester and moved to Cambridge in 2003 when I married Richard. We have four great children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mum to four great children and blessed to be able to be a stay at home mum. This can be really rewarding as I see them make wise choices and demonstrate an understanding of the principles we are trying to teach them. This isnt without its challenges, I've had to get good at defusing all sorts of emotional situations and may one day apply for a job at the United Nations with my new skill base. I am however grateful to be raising my family as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When respite is needed I love to either dive into a great book, or create something with my new sewing machine although there is nothing better than sharing a tub of ice cream with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents had both joined the Church before I was born, I have been lucky to have progressed through the different programmes within the church. Primary, Young Womens, Seminary and now I'm part of one of the greatest womens organisations in the world the Relief Society. Each of these programmes have brought different blessings of wisdom and faith into my life. As I have physically matured my spirit has been nurtured by wonderful teachers all of my life. I have of couse had seek my own witness to the truthfulness of what I have been taught and what I have read within the scriptures, this witness of truth has come time and again to me. As I strive to live by the faith I have been blessed with.

How I live my faith

I took the opportunity to become a school governor as I have invested a lot of time in my children. It is my hope to influence the environment within which my children spend their school day. Within the Huntingdon Ward I have been asked to be responsible for all of the ladies over the age of 18. This was and still is a little daunting but I have a wonderful support team and together we provide instruction, activities, and a network of ministering to help these women grow and strengthen their own belief in Christ as well as that of their families. As I serve my own testimony grows and I see how much these women are loved by their Heavenly Father.
