Hi I'm Rachel

I am a teenager. I hate math and love adventures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school student hastily preparing for the future, choosing a career and planning my life at 16. I am a dancer, basketball, Volleyball and baseball player. I love my family more than anything, I have 4 siblings and I am the middle child. I love to have a good time and yes, party, mormon style of course! I also happen to be a Harry Potter fanatic and LOVE reading books as well as writing my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I am mormon because I was born into a mormon family. I grew up in the church and never question my parents devotion, although as I got old I realized I did not have a testimony of my own and was drifting away from my childhood faith. This phase was short lived and I quickly realized that happiness was not being achieved as I once knew it too. I never left the church physically but while I was there I was simply going through the motions. I then started to come back more and more, at the age of 14 was when I first started realizing I had a real testimony of this gospel of my own. Girls camp, youth conferences, church services, seminary, daily scripture study and pray really built my testimony. There was never a dramatic moment where I suddenly knew this church was true, it was a gradual incline of spirituality. I still feel I am moving forward today. I am a mormon because I know it to be true without a doubt in my mind and i would never want to live my life differently. I know exactly where and who id be if i hadn't been born to shuck righteous parents or never introduce to the gospel and that version of myself absolutely scares me. I am who I am because of my religion and i could not be more thankful. The knowledge it provides is such a comfort in my life and my families and honestly with all my heart, despite how hard it can be, would never ever wish it not to be true. It is a story worth living. And that is only the bare minimal on why I am mormon and love it.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live my faith everyday and second of my life it the way I act and appear to others. I am also a leader in the youth program within my church and do much to help others. I thoroughly love giving talks in church and speaking in discussions. I do my best to bare my testimony when I can, though I do not push my religion on anyone. I testimony comes from within and must be discovered personally, i strive everyday to strengthen my testimony and those of others around me. I do my best to keep the commandments and words of wisdom of my faith. I practise good citizenship and hold my standards high.
