Hi I'm Matt

I'm a Mormon: I am a convert to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I investigated and know that it's true.

About Me

I met a member of the church and fell in love we got married in the York stake and now have 3 children. I was not a religious person but had and shamed some beliefs of my future wife and her familiy, I would occasionally visit the church with them on a Sunday if my nephews and nieces were taking part in the meetings. When our first child was born I decided that I should find out more as we had decided that he would be bought up in the ways of the church. Eventually I agreed to have lessons from the elders who were kind and explained there answers to any questions clearly and easily for me to understand. The more I listened the more I learned and the more the pieces of my personal jigsaw of life seamed to fit there is no picture on the box or instructions in it but I now have all the pieces to help me continue with piecing together the jigsaw. I have the Book of Mormon , the gospel of Jesus Christ and a living prophet on the earth today. I know this is true and belive in all I have learned so far

Why I am a Mormon

I decided to have the lessons from the elders to find out if I wanted to be baptised, I had decided that I would probably but had not decided upon a date or if this would happen really happen One Sunday at church it was announced that I had accepted the invitation to be baptised, this took me by surprise as I had not really given a definite yes. However although not yet a member I knew what had to be done I went outside and sat on the grass , for a while I sat there and pondered then I quietly folded my arms and prayed . I got my answer that day almost instantly. I was baptised not long after and know now it was the right choice

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what is asked by our Heavenly Father. I teach in the primary classes of our ward and I have previously taught in the elders lessons. I enjoy and feel blessed by teaching but also listening to the children share there experiences and ask there questions. I may not always have the answer but through prayer and the scriptures we know that together we will find the answers to our questions
