Hi I'm L.J.

I live in Las Vegas. I'm an accountant, sports fanatic, amateur artist, and a Mormon.

About Me

Grew up in Parker, Colorado and Cedar Hills, Utah. Passions include painting/drawing, the outdoors, finance and accounting, and everything sports. I served my mission in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho. I am currently working with a large accounting firm at their office in Las Vegas as an auditor.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born in the Church, I've been taught the standards and doctrines my entire life, but I didn't always understand or live them. When I was an early teenager, I often found that being a Mormon included embarrassment or criticism from peers. Finally, I decided it was time to know for certain that the Church was truly established by Christ. Through intense study and prayer, I received a powerful witness of the Savior. As I came to know Him more through the Book of Mormon, I was blessed with a witness that Joseph Smith was called of God and restored the only true and living church on the Earth. This witness has influenced me so greatly, that I have changed every aspect and facet of my life to be more in line with it. I have found a happiness and assurance through sincerely living the Restored Gospel than I ever thought imaginable, and wish for others to find the same joy.

How I live my faith

I love to engage in meaningful conversations and getting to know the passions, hopes, and dreams of others. I love to serve others around me, and am always careful to notice the struggles of anyone I might be able to help. My faith is my single most defining attribute, and the source to which I attribute all of my accomplishments now and in the future.
