Hi I'm Chris

I live in Nottingham with my wife Elaine and five children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have 5 children the oldest being 15, 13, 10, 6 and the youngest 4. I studied and achieved a Honours Degree in Adult Nursing. I enjoy gardening, photography, church activities and of course time with the family. Just recently I was diagnosed with Young Persons Parkinson's Disease. Being just 43 I and my family don't know how we would have coped without Jesus Christ and the support of the Church.

Why I am a Mormon

in 1990 at the age of 22 my life was going no where, my father had left when I was 15 and I was drifting though life. I left school with very little education and was not taught the importance of the need to work. For me life was just for having a good time, always looking for the next laugh. After a while I got a job and very quickly learnt that money can buy the things you seek whether it be for good or bad. For a time I was content but the fun didn't last. Life changed for me when a Mormon friend told me about Gods plan for happiness, a plan that could bring peace and happiness. I was introduced to two missionaries who answered my questions and taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ at my level of understanding. After thinking about what I had learnt I prayed to God if it was true what the Mormon Missionaries had taught me. The Holy Ghost confirmed to me that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true, that Jesus Christ died for me, that the Book of Mormon is a true witness of Jesus Christ and for me the most important question for me is that families CAN be together for all of time, not till death us do part. I served a 2 year mission in London sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. achieved a Degree in Nursing and very happily married with 5 amazing children. Having Christ as my guide brings me peace, joy and I know where I'm going after this life and who I'll be with. My life brilliant that's why I'm a Mormon

How I live my faith

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ, I get so much peace from prayer, reading the Book of Mormon and helping out where I can in the running of Church activities. I also teach once a month on a Sunday, which helps me study individual topics of the Gospel. As a family we pray and read the scriptures every day, and at the moment we are continuing tracing our family tree/history.
