Hi I'm Eddie van den Bron

Hi I'am from The Netherlands I now live in England, I have been a Mormon since 1974

About Me

My wife and I are parents of four children, two sons and two daughters our eldest son has served his mission and our youngest son is currently serving on his mission and eldest daughter is going to serve on May the 6th whilst our youngest daughter is at University. The gospel has made a real difference in our lives especially whilst it is not easy to bring up a family in this day when so many things can go wrong, knowing that there is a Father in Heaven who loves his children and he has sent His Son as a Saviour for us all so we can return back to him, brings great comfort to us all.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member because I received a personal witness that Joseph Smith did see God the Father and the Son Jesus Christ and this is his church..... The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a Bishop in the Derby ward and look after the lovely Saints and the community in Derby. I have the privilege of overlooking the youth program and once a month I get to teach them how they can be good examples amongst their friends and stay out of trouble, I also get to work with the full time missionaries within our ward and meet with people who are searching for direction and finding Christ into their lives. I have also the opportunity in looking after the Elderly Couples or those that are widowed or are single or simple those that are in need to be uplifted and strengthened by fellow brothers and sisters. We meet every Sunday from 10 am till 1pm where we have opportunity to partake of the sacrament and renew our covenants, we have taken, when we were baptised followed by Sunday School and our last meeting consists of a meeting for the brethren and for the sisters, come and see us.
