Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and when I was old enough I chose to be baptised, I had my own questions as I became an adult and gained my own testimony or knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love going to church, I believe in Jesus Christ, I turn to him through prayer and reading the scriptures especially in hard times. It is so wonderful and comforting to feel the love and comfort my Heavenly Father has for me.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Leah
The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead. After Baptism we can recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost, this means he will always be with us if we are living our life in a good way. Anyone can feel the Holy Ghost whether baptised or not, whether you attend any church or not. have you ever just felt that something is right? or had a 'gut instinct' ? I believe that these feelings come from the Holy Ghost. The purpose of the Holy Ghost is to testify of truth, sometimes when you just feel that something is right or true, that is the Holy Ghost. He communicates to us through our feelings, if you feel good and peaceful about something it is right, if you feel confused or unsure maby you need to look further. I am greatful to my Heavenly Father for the gift of the Holy Ghost to help me know the truth, make good decissions and help me in my journey back to him. Show more Show less
