Hi I'm Zachary Ralph

I grew up along the Wasatch front in Utah. I am an Eagle Scout. I love the Great Outdoors. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love hiking, biking, rafting, running, rock climbing, camping, and doing anything; everything outdoors. I love the adventure of going out into wilderness and arriving at an amazing destination. I love traveling across Gods country and seeing breath-taking landsacapes and scenery. For me, nothing beats being in the Great Outdoors with family and friends taking pictures and saving wonderful memories around a warm campfire, at the top of a mountain, on the edge of a cliff or at the base of a beautiful cascading waterfall.

Why I am a Mormon

I made the decision to be baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the age of eight, and though I may not have fully understood exactly what that meant at the time, I have always been grateful for having done so. I am so thankful to my family for raising me in the gospel. I have been to other churches before and at no other place have I seen the fullness of the truth. I have not felt the warm burning of the spirit of the Holy Ghost at any other place like I have here. It's like a consious feeling that you know, without any doubt, that it is the truth. I have always known that there was something bigger in this life than just me. I have always known that there is a God. I have seen Him in the things that He has created. I know that by no other power could this beautiful world come to be. Throughout my life, I have gained a testimony that our Heavenly Father loves each one of us, and that He will answer our prayers and in His mercy, forgive our sins abundantly. I know that He sent His Son for us. I cannot comprehend how vast His love is for us. But, I know that He will answer, in His own time, each and every one of our prayers. Even if the answer for us is no. Sometimes, we have to swallow our pride and conform to His will. But, I know that He has a plan for each of us. I know that there is life after death. I know that through His power and authority that is on this earth today, that if we make and keep sacred covenants of marriage, that we can be sealed to our families forever. Not only in this life, but in the life to come. I have come to know that all these things are true through the gospel of Jesus Christ. These things are true, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

There are oppertunities for service all around us. Growing up as a Boy Scout in the LDS Church, I learned the real value of service and "doing a good turn daily". Whether helping change the oil in my parents car at home, helping a ward member move in to their new home, or doing a service project for the Boy Scouts, it always felt good to help other people. Even something as simple as saying "thank you" to let someone know they are appreciated can bring the love of Christ. When we help others, we can truly feel the love that God has for each and every one of us. At present, I have been called of God by a living Prophet to serve a full- time mission (two years) for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Budapest, Hungery Mission. I will be doing many similar acts of service, as well as teaching others about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Christ's whole life was dedicated to the service of each of us. When I serve other people, I feel closer to him.
