Hi I'm Garry

I'm a husband and father, a Civil Engineer and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I've grown up in the UK, been happily married for 23 years and have four wonderful children. I love spending time with my family, doing DIY on our home and adventurous holidays; we're not ones to sit on the beach.

Why I am a Mormon

I didn't have a religious upbringing, but always knew there was a God. When I was being taught by the missionaries everything they said made sense, and I joined the church in my late twenties. I know that through the atonement of my brother Jesus Christ I can return to live with my Heavenly Father one day, and the plan of salvation teaches me that I can be with my own family for eternity.

How I live my faith

As a local priesthood leader in the church, I always have the chance the serve others, and helping out with the youth program keeps me feeling, if not looking, young. The church is based on the family, and the gospel teaches us to always be there for each other. Although our lives are busy, we try to find time to read the scriptures together and pray together each day. Monday evening in the church is our 'family home evening' where we teach one another and enjoy family time together.
