Hi I'm Tyler Hanks

I was born in Georgetown, TX, but now live in Utah. I love sports, and I love the Gospel.

About Me

I love basketball, baseball, and sports in general. I also like to spend time with my friends, and especially of the lady persuasion. My parents are Aaron, and Amy Hanks. They met in Burnnet, Texas, at a stake dance. I'm almost finished with High School and will be working during the summer to earn money for my mission in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many members, I was born into the church. I was raised in a home where my parents taught the gospel to me everyday, even when I could not speak or verbally communicate. My full conversion was about the age of 12. I never really developed my own testimony outside of my parents until one night, when my dad had come home around 10 or 11 at night. He had a feeling to ask me if I had a testimony, and I honestly could not tell him I had one. We had a talk late into the night, and my dad said a prayer for me, and with me, about my testimony. The next day my mom suggested to me that a way I could start to develop my own testimony, was to read out of Joseph Smith History. I did it, and it began the foundation of what became a skyscraper of a testimony. After that I continued to read out of the scriptures, and listen more intently at church, and eventually my testimony was strong, and had its own foundation.

How I live my faith

Everyday I wake up and read my scriptures and say my personal prays. I go to church every sunday, and participate in class discussions. I try to remember my Father in Heaven, and Savior: Jesus Christ on a consistent basis. Always striving to do whats right all day everyday.
