Hi I'm Taylor

I grew up in Farmington, NM, with an awesome family. I love to laugh. I love to joke. And I'm a mormon

About Me

I love to play in the snow, perferably on a mountain with skiis strapped to my feet. I love spending time with my family. I love hiking when I'm not skiing the mountain. I love running around outside. I'm the girl with a smile on my face and laughing all the time. It's a goal of mine to make you laugh, whether it's with me or at me, I still accomplished my goal ;) I am fulfilled on of my childhood goals of serving a mission. I served 9 months in the Knoxville Tennessee Mission, and 9 months in the Brasil Campinas Mission. Serving a mission really changed my perspective and continues to bless my life. I recently married the man beyond my dreams and continue to find happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church because it is so easy to be a part of. They are always so welcoming of everyone. You can always make such good friends when you go to church activities. I love the Book of Mormon. When ever I read the Book of Mormon, I can't be in a bad mood. It instantly makes me happy and makes me want to be a better person. I love how we have a prophet called of God, who leads and guides this church. I also love, how he doesn't do it by himself, he has all kinds of help. From his counselors, to the bishop, even down to the nursery leaders. The Mormon church has a message of peace and joy. It truely is a "good tiding of great joy" , and can bring so much peace and comfort to one's life in this life. I truly believe that this is God's work and glory. We are literally His children, and with such, gives us divine potential. As we learn to accept and act upon the principles of the doctrine of Christ, which is definetly a life long pursuit, we have full access to the powers of the atonement. Which allows us to become clean from sin, and also overcome our trials, weaknesses and temptation. What a blessing it is to be able to do that.

How I live my faith

I recently got married in the temple to a great man. And together we are striving to follow the Lord. I love learning of Christ's gospel with him, and hearing his insights to the scriptures. As we go about life we strive to live what we are taught and be friends with everyone. What you do is more powerful than what you say. I want to always have the desire to learn more of the gospel of Jesus Christ and invite Him into my life.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Taylor
God has a purpose for everything He does. And because of this simple truth, we know that He has a pupose in sending us to earth. The purpose of this earth life is to prepare to meet our Heavenly Father again. We do this in a variety of ways while living this mortal life. The first and maybe simplist way, is recieving a body. The next step is to use our body to prepare to return to our Heavenly Father. While in this life, we experience many things, all of which are to prepare us. As we prepare to return to our Heavenly Father, we become more like Him, and that is what He wants for each of us. To partake of all the blessings He has to offer us, and that is only possible if we try our very best to become like Him. We also form relationships of all kinds to be carried on through the eternities. The most important relationship, being that of our family. God loves families and has provided a way for thm to be together for ever. As we do all these things, we begin to understand and experience all that this life has to offer. As we make good choices and strive everyday to become more like our Heavenly Father, we will be able to live with Him again. Show more Show less
