Hi I'm Jared

I'm a husband, a father, an accountant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have four young children. We like to take walks in the country side together and watch movies. I've just read the 'Hunger Games Trilogy' with my eldest daughter - neither of us could put the books down. I also like to read economics, something my wife finds earth shatteringly boring. With my boys I like to play Lego. I am a Chartered Accountant, but that's not my passion. I love to go on holiday each year and I like to eat fine food and baked goods. I have aspirations of doing a triathlon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe its teachings. I believe that we are all children of loving Heavenly Parents and that we are brothers and sisters. I believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ and of his message of love, tolerance and compassion. I believe that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and has made it possible for me to repent of my sins and return to live again with my Heavenly Father. I believe that families are eternal and that we can be together forever. I am greatful for prayer and the comfort it brings. I am greatful for the scriptures. I am greatful for Priesthood authority and that it allows me to bless my family.

How I live my faith

My faith begins at home. I start the day with a prayer of thanks for my health, my family, the food we have to eat and all the goods things that my Heavenly Father blesses me with. I read from the Bible and Book of Mormon before work to set me up for the day. As a family we kneel together and offer thanks. I hope that by doing these things that I am a kinder, more compassionate person. My church allows me great opportunities to serve others.
