Hi I'm Nate

I'm studying mechanical engineering. I like reading, robots, basketball, and tennis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of five children, I have three older brothers and an older sister. I recently finished my first year of college studying mechanical engineering, and I'm currently serving a full time mission in the Baltic States (speaking Lithuanian). I love playing basketball, and jump on any opportunity to do so. I also enjoy playing tennis, reading good books (mostly science fiction and fantasy), and spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received the Holy Ghost's witness that this is the true church and that Christ's gospel has been restored through the prophet, Joseph Smith. Although I was born into the church, I have still had to pray and ponder to know whether or not this church is true. As I have knelt in prayer to ask the Lord if this church is true, and then continued to read the scriptures and to ponder or think about them, I have received a special witness of the spirit, and have gained a greater testimony of Christ's gospel. Although I am not perfect, I have come to recognize the truth and hope of the gospel, and I continue to grow closer to the Lord by doing what He expects of me, even through trials and hard times. I have seen the Lord's hand in my life, shaping me and molding me as I submit to His will.

How I live my faith

I attend church, and serve others by making new friends, and trying to love everyone who I come into contact with. I complete my home teaching assignments and help plan and organize activities and events for my church. I have seen the changes the gospel has made in my life, and try to share these gospel truths with others through both words and actions. I am also trying to share the gospel by serving a two year mission to the Baltic Mission, speaking Lithuanian. The best way I have found to live my faith is to set goals centered around becoming like Christ. As I follow up on these goals, I have seen myself becoming more Christlike as I turned outward and focus more on others.
