Hi I'm Matt

I have been married for 31 years. We have 8 children. I am a web designer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was married in 1982 and we have one son and seven daughters. I have had many jobs from a cabinet maker, motor mechanic, shop owner, salesman, church and school caretaker and for the last twelve years a website designer.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon and although I believed it was true and chose to be baptised at the age of eight it wasn’t until I was around seventeen that I found out for myself. I started to question my belief after I started work and gained new friends. I needed to know for myself if it was true after a lot of study and prayer and living in a way that helped me feel close to my Heavenly Father I gained a strong and powerful feeling that it was true. That my Heavenly Father was there and knew me, that Jesus Christ was my Saviour and had paid the price for my sins if I would repent. I also found many answers in the scriptures both the Bible and The Book of Mormon. I know Heavenly Father wants us to know the truth and will lead us to it if we will sincerely seek it. Whenever I feel the Holy Spirit strongly I feel an increase of love for others and know and feel of God's love for all his children.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in my local Church and have taught all different age groups. I have also helped to organise fun activities like dances, camping and talent nights. I also enjoy helping to organise and participate in service projects for members of our Church as well as the community. From 1976 to 1978 I served as a missionary for the Church in Scotland. I have found great joy in serving others and learnt more tolerance, patience and love. I believe we learn more about our saviour Jesus Christ by doing his work rather than just reading about it.
