Hi I'm Allison Burwell

I grew up in Texas. I am studying business with a minor in Culinary Arts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student, and I am majoring in business management with a minor in Culinary Arts. Other than that, I also enjoy rock climbing, doing other things outdoors, learning/trying out new things, and being around people. I have been LDS my whole life, but my mom is a convert.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because I love it. It's as simple as that. As I see how much this church has blessed my life, I look and think about what I would be like and what my life would be like if I didn't have the gospel in my life. And, it's kind of a scary thought. This gospel has helped me so many times in my life and if I didn't have it, I'm not sure how I would have made it through. The feelings that I get when I read my scriptures, when I pray, when I am at church...they are an indescribable feeling. A wonderful feeling. A feeling of peace. The gospel means the world to me, and I am so grateful for its blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

My calling right now in my ward is a Sunday School teacher. There are two teachers, so I teach every other week. I love this calling. Not only do I learn a lot while preparing the lessons, but I also am able to learn from all of the insights and comments that are given in class. It is also a good way for me to share my testimony with others. I strive to live my life in a way that I know Jesus Christ did. One goal in our church is to become more and more like Christ. As I work on that and apply it in my life, I see more blessings and have noticed that I am more happier in life.
