Hi I'm Tom Horner

I'm a Mormon, Adrenaline Junky

About Me

I love adventure! I'm a huge adrenaline junky! I ride snowmobiles, dirbikes, fourwheelers, I enjoy water skiing in the summer, Hiking, Hunting, Big Big Fires! I played Football in high school, I was a strong saftey and the long snapper. I worked for my dad as a Diesel Mechanic. I raised sheep all my life and owened about 50 head of sheep. But now I have the privilage to be serving the lord on a two year mission in the Utica New York mission! Im so excited to share this gospel that I love to all those that I come in contact with! I was studying at college physical therapy and fitness and I plan to continue that after I serve my wonderful mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a small community where everyone knew who you were hanging out with and what you were doing. As I went through high school and into college and saw my friends and people I care about fall away from the church and not live all of the laws and commandments it really opened my eyes to who I wanted to be and what I stood for. I could see that I was a positive influence in those peoples lifes but I didn't want to follow in the same paths as they did. So I made the dicision to change who I was hanging out with what we were doing and lived the gospel more fully in my life! I still want those people to come back and to see their mistakes as well as others in the world. That is why I decied to Serve a Two year mission!!

How I live my faith

I am a Full Time Missionary! I help others come unto christ and accept his gospel. I love to talk about my beliefs and the beliefs of the church. I am huge on service! I look to do service daily no matter how big or small the act may be. That is what I do at this time in my life. At one point in my mission i had to return to my home town. That was an experience that change my life... I had to return to have ACL surgery. I saw how much i had changed on my mission. The knowledge i had gained on my mission had blessed me so much. Yet the hard part was i had to live what i had been preaching for the past year when i was all by myself. I didn't have a companion who was right beside me everyday and made sure i was living all the mission rules. I loved having the freedom of being home yet i was in limbo... It felt like i had given up on a life time project adn just left it in the shed. So i made the choice to return to the mission field to finish what i had started and to continue the work of salvation in New York.
