Hi I'm Samm Liddicott

My name is Samuel Liddicott, named after my father. I enjoy Lego, photography and am an artist. I love this church!

About Me

I'm a very arty person and enjoy taking photos on a regular basis. I do a lot of cycling and try to keep relatively fit and healthy. I love Lego and actively collect it. I also make small stop-motion movies using it; it's quite a lot of fun. Recently I have just graduated from art college, and I'm aspiring to become a self-employed practising artist-and-designer. My current position in life is as a missionary for the church. I leave to serve in the Canada Edmonton Mission on the 28th of November this year, 2017. Life is pretty good and I enjoy being outside and appreciating nature. It always fascinates me. I can communicate a little in Spanish and can do a few convincing accents. I've always wanted to be Scottish, but living in Yorkshire is just as good. England is the second best country in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

There is no one reason as to why I am a Mormon, but the main reason is that I think it is a really nice way to live. I've felt wonderful things, and know it's true. I have a strong testimony of this Gospel and can testify of it's truthfulness. My commitment to being a Mormon is definitely through choice now. I grew up in the church, and whilst I knew it to be good, I never really took the time to ask why, or consider how I could know for sure. I think I'm a Mormon because I wouldn't want to be anything else. This Gospel has made me a better person, and I can testify of that.

How I live my faith

I love this Gospel and live it as best I can. Wakefield Ward is amazing, and the members there are wonderful. Most of what I believe I have come to know for myself to be true. Whilst growing up in the church, I recognise now that although I knew many things about the Gospel, I never really had a testimony about them, I just lived them because they were there. I think mainly through living life and growing up, I have come to know more, and I've definitely been prompted to learn and understand more. I'm an Elder and will shortly be leaving to serve a mission on the 28th November 2017 to the Canada Edmonton Mission. I'm currently serving as Assistant Ward Clerk. I live my faith mainly by faith. I have a testimony of this Gospel and love it with all my heart. My belief is that if I didn't have the testimony I do, I wouldn't be where I am today. I am thankful for all the experiences I have had throughout my life, even though I have struggled greatly with many of them, because looking back on them now, I realise that I learnt something new from each one of them. I became better. This Gospel truly is the way for man to be saved.
