Hi I'm David

I was born in Scotland,I lived there until I joined the Royal Air Force in 1980. I became a Mormon in 1983.

About Me

I am married and have 4 boys, my interests are Golf and being a taxi service for my four sons. I am an instructor teaching process instrumentation. I have lived my life by a promise of never wanting to get old and find myself saying I wish I had tried that. With that in mind I have been parachuting, white water rafting, caving, abseiling, micro-lighting and many more, I would not call myself a thrill seeker more a seeker of thrills. If it involves white knuckles i'm up for it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I met a beautiful girl who had the courage to live her faith. After meeting with the missionaries I realised that as an individual many things in my life were taking me on a road to nowhere. The missionaries encouraged me to study the doctrines of the church and to ask in prayer if they were true, after several months I received the confirmation from my Heavenly Father that the things I had studied were true. From that time forward my life changed and I found true happiness.

How I live my faith

I was converted to the church at aged 19, while serving in the armed forces. I have seen and been part of a world of anything goes, since my baptism I have lived my life in a totally different way, a way in which I put others first. My faith is a way of life, it helps me as a husband, a father and a member of society. I have very strong values which help me to stand up as an individual, and for those who may be less able to do so. My faith has taught me, firstly about myself, who I am and what I can achieve, it has also given me a direction to my life that is different from what many follow in their search for happiness. I live my faith one day at a time, each day brings new challenges to overcome, with each of these challenges comes an opportunity to grow. I have a happiness in my life that is based on the solid foundation of my family for this I will be eternally grateful.
