We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hi I'm Megan

I'm a nanny. I love everything Disney. I am a geek. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I am Megan. I have 5 siblings and 8 nieces and nephews. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have worked as a nanny, and I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. I love watching movies and keeping up with TV shows. I am very much a geek. I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Harry Potter...and I love playing all sorts of games, whether computer, video, board or card. I also play the violin and piano. I have been called as a missionary to serve in the Texas San Antonio Mission, speaking Spanish. I am so very grateful and excited for this opportunity to serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and became a member when I was baptized at the age of 8. I did not have my own "conversion" until about 10 years later. I always knew that the LDS Church was true, but I leaned on the testimonies of my parents and leaders. When I was 18, I was challenged to read the Book of Mormon all the way through. I had never done that before in my life. Sure, I had read parts of it, in personal study, classes, and family scripture time. But I had never read it cover to cover. So, I took this challenge. When I finished reading the Book of Mormon, I prayed and asked if it was true. My prayer was answered, and I know without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true. I choose to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am blessed every day because of my willingness and obedience to the commandments of our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I had the calling as a Sunday School teacher. At first, I was very nervous. I can be shy before you get to know me, and I can get intimidated in front of large groups. I did not know why Heavenly Father wanted me to have this calling, but it turned out to be such a blessing. I learned so many things by being able to teach others. Those I taught ended up teaching me as well.

Are Mormons Christians?

Megan
Yes, Mormons, or members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are Christians. We not only believe in Jesus Christ, but we also accept that He is our Leader, our King, and our Savior. He is the center of our worship and is the head of our Church. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Megan
Yes, yes YES!! This is one of the teachings of the church that gives me the most comfort. I know that family relationships can last forever, when the sacred sealing ordinances are performed in the holy temples. Show more Show less
