Hi I'm Eric Kidman

I grew up in Utah. I love to make music. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to make music. Anything with music in it is automatically my hobby. Dancing, singing, composing, recording. You name it!

Why I am a Mormon

I have gone through that stage where I have questioned the Church and even began to not believe in it. I finally realized why. I never truly understood the Gospel. I was too quick to judge. You want to know how I fixed it? I read the Book of Mormon. I cannot stress enough how important it is to read this book. Just like the Bible, the Book of Mormon is an ancient record that was translated so we would have the word of God to guide us. NEVER judge a book by its cover. I'm 18 and I was born into the church and it took me until this very age to finally know that there is more to the church then people think there is. There is no doubt that these two books (the Bible and Book of Mormon) both testify of Christ. James in the New Testament writes this: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all man liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." (James 1:5) In the Book of Mormon, the Nephite prophet Moroni says this: "And when ye receive things, (the Book of Mormon) I would exhort you that ye would ask of God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." (Moroni 10:4-5) I have done this very thing and I turned from a confused kid doubting this church, to a man who now has his eyes open and understands and will not deny what I felt when I asked of God because I know I felt his spirit. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to be like Jesus Christ every day. I serve others with house chores, projectss, or just pure desire to serve them. I'm there for a good talk to make sure they have someone to talk to when needed. I go to church every Sunday and do my priesthood duties as a Priest. I also am the President of my scout group and have already helped one of them achieve their Eagle. Everything I do is so I can serve my brothers and sisters as He would have if He was here.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Eric Kidman
"Latter-Day Saints" is to distinguish those who live in the last days and the former saints that lived in the times of Christ. It was added by Joseph Smith after having a revelation from the Lord naming His church for this purpose. "For thus shall my church be called in the last days, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints." (D&C 115:4) People often get confused with the word "founded" in "Who founded Mormonism?" because it leaves them thinking that Joseph Smith created this church. That is false. We believe that this church was founded by Jesus Christ while He lived here on earth. Joseph Smith restored the church that fell into apostasy after the death of Christ and the apostles, but that does not mean that it is Joseph Smith's church. In the Book of Mormon the inhabitants of America were visited by Christ. His disciples told Him that the people didn't know what to call His church and so the disciples asked Him. He answered, "Have they not read the scriptures, which say ye must take upon you the name of Christ, which is my name? And how be it my church save it be called in my name? For if a church be called in Moses’ name then it be Moses’ church; or if it be called in the name of a man then it be the church of a man; but if it be called in my name then it is my church, if it so be that they are built upon my gospel. Verily I say unto you, that ye are built upon my gospel." (3 Nephi 27:5,8) Show more Show less
