Hi I'm Ariane

I was born and raised in Utah. I love art and music. I enjoy creating. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Being the youngest of eight siblings, I have been extremely blessed in developing a strong relationship with all of them throughout my life. I've taken after my parents in their love for the Arts and have pursued further education in Theater. I attended college at Utah Valley University, studying Technical Theater; particularly set, prop, and costume design and construction. I took a break in my studies to work and decided to serve a full time mission. I was blessed to serve in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission where I had an incredible experience as I served the Lord and shared my love of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Born and raised in Utah, I've been brought up in the values of the church. That being said, I have taken much of it for granted in my life. It wasn't until I decided to serve a mission that my view on the gospel changed and magnified. As I studied, I learned that I was a part of a completely different religion than I had thought. I learned to truly love the doctrine and live the principles taught. It wasn't about simply going to church every week and getting involved in all of the church activities that competed for my time; it's about simply loving the Lord and loving His children enough to reach out and be an example of goodness everywhere I go, to cause people to be better and to let them feel of their Heavenly Father's love through the things that I do. That is how I've come to live my faith. I have truly felt the love and support of my Savior as I have taught others the way to return to Him. I love the Book of Mormon and the truths it contains, it truly testifies of Jesus Christ. To quote the prophet Joseph Smith: "a man can get closer to God by abiding by it's precepts than any other book." I never try to change what people know and believe, I simply invite them to come and receive more as I have done. I am truly blessed to be a part of this living gospel and the Lords Kingdom on earth. I strive to help others see it in any way that I can.

How I live my faith

All my life, my family and I have grown very close as we've lived the principles of the gospel. My father and each of my siblings have served full time missions and I chose to continue that legacy and serve one of my own. I have always been a quiet introverted person. I didn't like to speak up in class if I could help it. But as I have prepared, I have come to truly love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to rely on his help. He has supported me and made up for my short comings as I have done my best in boldly inviting others to come unto Christ.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Ariane
Missionary service is definitely not a requirement, But I can tell you that it is the best decision I have ever made. Helping others come closer Christ has enabled me to re-define my own personal relationship with him. I now know how important I am to him and I can't help but desire others to feel that way too.
