Hi I'm Lyndsey Necaise

I'm a student at Brigham Young University of Idaho and I grew up in Michigan. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Lyndsey, I'm currently a young college student studying healthcare administration, hopefully soon to find an internship up in the Greater Seattle Area. I come from a family of 4 originally. My sister, my dad, my mom, and me. When I was 3 years old my mom developed cancer and when I was 7 she passed away. Fast forward years later, my dad remarried and now I have a step mother and step brother, they are not members of the LDS church. So I live in a home where there are Mormons, Protestants, and a hint of Muslim tradition. But a bit about me... I have a passion for photography, reading, cooking, baking, oddly and thankfully learning/studying! I love learning and expanding knowledge of most things. I love to dance and sing! I truly think that being able to just be yourself is one of the greatest gifts! One thing that I am 110% passionate about is the true gospel of Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I haven't always been a Mormon, when my mother was still alive we belonged to a Methodist church. After she past away many members of the Mormon church reached out to us, some close family friends especially did. Eventually our family friends asked us to take the lessons from the missionaries and we promptly agreed! After a short while we knew the church was true and that they really had the whole gospel of Christ. My sister, dad, and I were baptized. It took time for me to fully understand the gospel, seeing as I was only 8 when I was baptized, and I also fell away for a short time. Although when i stopped attending church I saw how much it really meant to me and became fully active once again. In the past few years I have been committed to learning more about this gospel and do everything I can to grow in my faith. I am a Mormon because I know it is the true gospel of Christ.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? Well... I listen to the words of the Prophet of God and I pray often to Heavenly Father to know what I am to do. I listen for guidance and peace. I am called in my ward to be the family history supervisor and the ward librarian. So I help others do genealogy work and learn about their family's past. I also help organize church materials to make them available to everyone who needs or wants them. I also do visiting teaching, so I go once a month to share a message with a few other fabulous women in the church and do what I can to serve them in whatever way I can. Also by being in the church I try to serve others in any way i can, whether it be making them dinners, or helping do yard work, or watching other's children. When I was in the youth program I helped organize activities for other youth like dances, dinners, and youth trips. I live my faith through service, constant striving to learn more, and to keep the commandments of God!
