Hi I'm Landon Warnick

I speak one of the rarest languages in the world. I'm a motorcyclist and I play the ukulele. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a born and raised Utah boy. I like being outdoors and going on adventures, traveling, hiking, long boarding, and shooting guns. I am always doing something. I enjoy learning and playing the ukulele. I love motorcycles. I am extremely blessed with an awesome family and friends that make all of these things even better. I owe them a lot because I wouldn't be here without them. My family means the world to be. I am the oldest of 6 and my little brother is serving in Milan, Italy.I have gone to a year of college at Utah Valley University before my mission and now I live in Spokane Washington, and I teach the gospel of Jesus Christ in Marshallese. I love my life and have never gone through anything harder or more rewarding than serving an LDS mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love that Heavenly Father doesn't expect me to be perfect, he just wants me to try my best and when I make a mistake I can repent and feel the joy of forgiveness! That is amazing to me. It is the reason why I wanted to serve a mission is so people can feel that same way. I never really wanted to serve a mission when I was younger. I didn't even feel like I knew if there was a God. I made some mistakes. Like many others I turned to the source of all truth and asked him sincerely in prayer if he was really there. I felt overwhelming love from a Father in Heaven and I knew that everything that I had been taught was true. Its because of that moment that I wanted to show my love to my Heavenly Father by keeping his commandments and trying to do his will. It took time, faith, obedience, and repentance. It isn't always easy but it is always worth it. I still have a lot to learn but my testimony continues to grow as I share it with the people I love. If you are ever doubting you can always turn to God and I believe that he does answer prayers through the feelings in our hearts. God is our Father in Heaven, he loves us.

How I live my faith

I have never lived closer to my faith than I have on my mission. I love the daily scripture study and other habit that I have developed on my mission because it has strengthened my faith. I wake up everyday with the decision that I am going to share my faith to everyone I see. I love the sense of peace and love that I get from living my faith and trying to be the best that I can be. The Gospel helps people realize their full potential so they can return to leave with Heavenly Father. I believe in forgiveness from a loving God that has helped me want to become a better person, and it really has. I know that I would be lost without this church and It truly is the church of Jesus Christ. I love the Marshallese people here in Spokane. They are so kind. Every home we go to they always are very respectful. I feel so blessed to be working with them. The very best part about what I do as a missionary is when I see the desire to follow Jesus Christ increases and then I know that what I am doing has meaning and purpose.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Landon Warnick
A real testimony is someone's faith based on truth. The way they receive a testimony is by the Holy Ghost who can only testify of truth. Show more Show less
