Hi I'm Caleb

I'm an Uncle of 10. I taught first grade while in High School. And I'm a mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of 6 kids. There's 4 in my parents "first family" and 12 years later they had me and 4 years later my little brother. I'm an uncle to 10 kids 4 from my oldest sister, 2 from my oldest brother, and 4 from my older brother. I completed high school with a year of College under my belt by going through the Running Start program that they offered at my High School. I was able to be an assistant teacher in a first grade class through another program in my high school. After I graduated I Worked for a year as a dishwasher at a popular diner in north Spokane, WA (Knights Diner). I also have worked as an investigative aide for the liquor board, and a youth consultant for Partnerships for Action, Voices for Empowerment(PAVE WA). Between all my jobs and church activities I like to play sports like Football, Basketball, Soccer, & Baseball. Or hang out with my little brother and my friends doing anything from kayaking whitewater, to stalking each other at our work places, to shooting each other randomly with BB guns. Currently I serve the people of San Diego, California as a full time missionary, white shirt, tie, name tag. Currently I have the opportunity to Serve the lord as one of those guys in a white shirt and tie and name tag teaching about Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us. For these next 2 years I have the utmost privilege of serving those people in San Diego, CA.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, but I have also sought out answers through prayer, scripture, soul-searching, and even trial and error, and I have not found anywhere else where I feel more satisfied, comfortable, complete, happy, or feel of Gods love than I do here. I know that it's sometimes difficult to recognize self worth, but as I read the Book of Mormon, The Holy Bible, and pray about them, I feel more comfort in knowing that god cares about me enough to send me many blessings in different ways.

How I live my faith

I am dedicating my life for the next 2 years to being a literal representative of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint, and Jesus Christ Himself. I'm trying to make my words to be only what I truly believe what he and Heavenly Father would want me to say in their place.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Caleb
The best answer I've ever seen for why we proselyete is in 2 Corinthians Chapter 5 Verses 11&14 In the king James version of the bible Stating: 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men... & 14 For the love of Christ constraineth us... Personally I do it because I know the Joy it brings to my life knowing that I have a Heavenly Father and an Older Brother (Jesus Christ) who know me and love me personally. And because I have this Knowledge I have to share it, because I would be worse than a hypocrite if I did not let others to know and have the same joy that I have. 26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children [and Friends] may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins. 2Nephi 25:26 *bracketts added Show more Show less
