Hi I'm Spike

I am bi-lingual, love to travel, recently married, and love the outdoors. I love hunting. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have been married for just over 2 years to my beautiful wife. We are happily married, and are enjoying all the things life throws at us. I am also a soon to be graduate from Brigham Young University, studying international relations and Portuguese. I have lived abroad in Manaus, Brazil, and love traveling all over Latin America. Aside from my love for travel, school, and my wife, I have a enormous love for the outdoors. I am an avid hunter, fisherman, hiker, white water rafter, shoot guns, and love mountain biking and back packing. There is little I don't do, and nothing I won't try!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life. I grew up in the faith, but my circumstances didn't automatically make me a Mormon. I chose to follow the faith because I personally prayed to know if it was true. I read the Book of Mormon, and prayed to God asking him if what I read was true, and if the feelings of love, comfort, and hope came from him; I received the answer, yes. I served a full-time two year mission in the Amazon in Brazil. I learned the Portuguese language, and grew to love the people there as I served them and taught them about God and His son Jesus Christ. My wife is a convert to the church and has only been baptized just over a year. I didn't know her during her conversion, but love the opportunity I have now to support her as she continues to learn of the love the Lord has for her. We are happy due to our continual effort to be the best people we can be, and to live the commandments. I know without a doubt that God lives, that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that families can be together forever. I know that there is life after death, and that it is never too late to seek for God's love and guidance!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others my age. My wife and I love serving others through service oriented activities, and love baking things as well! I also work with young men in Boy Scouts of America, teaching them outdoors skills and safety. I attend church weekly, and am a secretary for the men's organization in the church. I also participate on our church groups basketball team!
