Hi I'm Roger Zavala

Learn from every moment that you go through life, there is always a purpose.

About Me

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since I was born. As I have grown up I have learned about my purpose in life and the necessary steps that I have to take in order to have an eternal family. I'm a college student, I love playing sports and getting to know new places.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I have come to know God, recognize his voice and understand the plan that he has for me. I'm a mormon because I'm not perfect and I can become better each day through the understanding that I have about Jesus Christ. I'm a mormon because it makes me happy and a good friend.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through simple steps like personal prayers, scripture study, attendance to church every Sunday, fulfilling my duties at Church, fellowshipping others and over all being ready to share my beliefs and testimony with others.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Roger Zavala
I do believe in Prophets and Apostles. The Lord had always have servants at his favor for guiding us and teaching us His will. Today we are guided by a Prophet named Thomas Spencer Monson he has the keys for guiding the Church through Jesus Christ like the Apostle Peter once did. This authority named the priesthood was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith and that authority has passed until today. Show more Show less

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Roger Zavala
We are called "mormons" because of the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ. Mormon is also a name, it was a prophet in the American Continent around the year 400 A.D. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Roger Zavala
We believe that family is the most important organization on earth. It is the based of society and the purpose of the Church. All the teaching and covenants that our Savior taught are for families to follow and be protected. The most special thing about having a family is that we can be sealed for eternity in temples. This means that even after death we are able to be a family because of those covenants in the temple. Show more Show less
