Hi I'm Christian

Hello im Christian. I grew up in Oregon, and I greatly enjoy wandering its forested trails, im also a Mormon.

About Me

Well I like to fancy myself a bit of a runner, and I enjoy a good race every now and again. I also enjoy hiking and backpacking, I love being out enjoying the forest and the rest of the great outdoors in general. I have visited many trails across Oregon and I have enjoyed being on every one of them, for the most part anyway. The forest of the great northwest will always hold a special place in my heart. From reading all that you may have gotten the impression that im a big outdoors kinda guy, well that's partially true I suppose, however I also enjoy spending my free time with video games, and board games and the like. I even enjoy some good ol fashion book reading. as for dislikes, well lets just say that you will never catch me playing a game of ultimate Frisbee, dreadful activity even at the best of times.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because i have faith in Jesus Christ, I have faith in his atonement, and I have faith that the book of Mormon is true. I do not know what I would do without faith. I do all that I do because of my faith in Christ, I love his gospel. I try to let my faith in it and him influence all of my actions. perhaps I am not always successful, in fact I probably fail a lot, but that's all part of life, we are not perfect, all we can do is try our hardest, and let the lord pick up the slack. I suppose that's why im a Mormon. because I believe that we are not perfect, that we fail, but through faith in the lord we can still succeed. I believe this gospel has a great message of hope, and I wish to share that message with others, and give them the same opportunities I have been given.

How I live my faith

Its my job to help people feel more welcomed in my ward, and to make sure that people don't get neglected when they come to visit us. though I will admit im not the most outgoing kinda guy, I still do my best to try and learn peoples names and to help them feel more welcomed while they are with us. This certainly is a challenge for me, as I mentioned earlier im not terribly outgoing. But I have found that while taking part in my calling and facing the challenge it produces I have grown, and perhaps it is teaching me to come out of my shell and talk to people more regularly. That's what I love about this church its all about helping others, and in doing so helping yourself. Perhaps that is why I enjoy service projects. Though they may be cold and rainy, they can still be filled with cheer as we help our fellow man, and that cheer can infect us as we give that service, if we let it.
