Hi I'm Nathan

I was born and raised in Idaho with a wonderful family. I am a musician, Eagle Scout, and Missionary. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Nathan, and I was born and raised in a wonderful family in Idaho. My family has always been very supportive of me, urging me to get my education, and to prepare myself to be a valuable member of society. Both of my parents are well educated. They both graduated from the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. Because of the education that they had, they were able to teach me not just music, but life lessons, like persistence, and hard work. Also because of that, I am considering music as a career for my future. I recently attended a semester of college, studying music, when I had a unique experience. I had an interview with the radio station manager at my school radio station, and I have been able to work as a music producer and radio personality. this has been a very interesting job that has opened up my eyes to new possibilities. So I plan on getting as much education as possible so that I can not only provide for a future family, but make a difference. My family has also always blessed my life with experiences that have shaped me, and helped me grow. My involvement in scouting, and receiving my Eagle Scout award has helped me see my potential. Also scouting has helped me find many fun hobbies, like camping, (outdoors stuff) woodworking, ceramics, and photography. Recently I got my mission call to Ohio! So I will be out for two years serving the Lord. :)

Why I am a Mormon

As I grew up in the church, I have had many experiences where the spirit has testified to me of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, and Joseph Smith as a prophet of God. I have had many seemingly little experiences that over time have built up to form my testimony of this gospel. I have found that as I live the Gospel, I find more and more that it is true. I have seen the good things that come from it. The love of Jesus Christ, shown through His Sacrifice for us is real, it has the power to change lives, and I know it has changed mine. the blessings and happiness that follow from being a member of His church are tremendous. The book of Mormon is the word of God, Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet, and this is Jesus Christ's Church here on the earth.

How I live my faith

During the last semester at college, I was called to be the choir director for my congregation. I was happy to have this assignment, because I knew what a difference choir, and music in general had made for me during high school and my earlier years. It was amazing to see the blessings that came to both me and other congregation members, as the music we sang lifted us and inspired us to follow Christ. All through high school, I was able to attend seminary, where I learned so much more about the gospel of Jesus Christ through the scriptures. I was then able to share this with my other classmates and friends. Throughout my whole life, I always knew that I would serve a mission for my savior Jesus Christ. However, I never knew that I would be able to serve two! during the summer of 2012, I was able to serve as a Young Performing Missionary in Historic Nauvoo, Illinois, playing French Horn in the Nauvoo Brass Band. It was a marvelous experience, although by the end of the summer, after 3 and 1/2 months of playing up to 6 -7 hours a day, I would say that the music was probably ten percent of the experience. I grew so much through testifying of Jesus Christ through music, and words. I came to know Jesus Christ and His love in a way that I can never forget. He truly loves everyone. After returning home, I had my sights set on serving a full-time mission. and In January of 2013, I received my mission call to serve for two years in Ohio!.
