Hi I'm Anna

I've only lived in Idaho and I've never seen the ocean. I'll soon be serving a mission in Asia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Used to do swine in 4-H, play tennis in High School, and I graduated top of my class. My mom passed away from cancer when I was twelve. My dad has since remarried and my now mixed family has a sum total of twelve kids, including me. I refused to wear make up until I was nineteen. I wanted to prove that beauty was possible without it. It was my attempt to rebel against the world. I've been attending Brigham Young University-Idaho. Now I'm preparing to serve a mission in Asia. I like cooking and reading and watching old movies. My favorite animal is a frog and my favorite color is either orange or green.

Why I am a Mormon

Life is so hard, sometimes it is harder than others, but I have a strong conviction, a testimony, of a God who loves me and wants me to be like Him, perfect. So here I am on earth, going through a refiner's fire, reaching for perfection and to be with God again someday. Both of my parents were always active in church and would take me and my siblings every Sunday, even if we were often late. During Sunday School all the children would go to a class called Primary and in Primary we have music time. One week, after we’d learned, “The Child’s Prayer”, I remember kneeling on my bunk bed one afternoon and really wanting to know if the words to that song were true. I began to sing, “Heavenly Father, are you really there? And do you hear and answer every child’s prayer? Some say that heaven is far away. But I feel it close around me as I pray.” I continued singing through the whole song, tears ran down my face from the warmth I felt as I prayed the words of this now beloved song. “Heavenly Father, I remember now. Something that Jesus told disciples long ago. Suffer the children to come to me. Father, in prayer I’m coming out to Thee.” This is how I gained my testimony of prayer. This is how I KNOW that Heavenly Father really listens when I speak to Him, even though I felt so insignificant. I know He hears my prayers. “Pray, He is there. Speak, He is listening. You are His child. His arms now surround you. He hears your prayers. He loves the children of such is the kingdom, the kingdom of Heaven.” Life is hard. Trials take many forms. For me now it has taken the form of feelings of inadequacy. But whatever my trials are, I know that Christ has atoned for all of my mistakes and He has felt all my pain and sorrow, so I don't have to be weighed down by it anymore! I know that Heavenly Father answers all sincere prayers! He loves us all and wants us to all to succeed and be happy! This church is true. Amen

How I live my faith

I believe in Christ, so I try my hardest to be like Him. I smile alot. I try to be kind to everyone I meet. My belief in Christ instills a confidence. I pray. I read my scriptures.
