Hi I'm Brad

People lovin' and fun findin' adventurist. That's me, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name's Brad. I love to go on adventures and have fun! Getting out and trying new things is the best to me. I have grown up in California and I now happily reside in Florida. THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! There is so much to do! I love to surf, skim, paddleboard, kayak, fish, or anything else in the water! But, all this fun makes Brad a poor boy, so as I'm going to school I'm working for St. Anthony's Hospital within the admitting department. It's the best job, I get to meet new people, talk to them and do my best to help them out with their current situation. I served my mission in the Philippines Olongapo Mission (best mission on Earth!) and am currently striving to finish my education to enter into the field of Healthcare Administration. I love the Lord, I love my life, and I'm ready for any adventure that comes my way!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 14, my family went through a small time of inactivity. I had no friends in the current ward I was attending, and I didn't really like going to church. My parents we wise enough to give me the choice of where I would like to go to church. I tried many different churches, attending their masses and services with my other friends that attended them. As I was discovering the teachings of the other churches, something always felt off, or foreign. I couldn't explain it at the time, but when I attended EFY the next year, everything came together for me. I only got to attend one year of EFY, but it changed my life. I had a great counselor, who decided to take us all into the dorm, and to pray about Joseph Smith, and whether or not he was a true Prophet of the Lord. The feeling within that room was amazing, it was what I was searching for at the other churches, it was the true, peaceful, joyous feeling of the Spirit. I was so happy and full of love towards my Savior. I love this church. It teaches the principles of happiness through our obedience to the Gospel. It teaches that families can be together forever, and most of all it teaches that God still speaks to us today, and if we want to talk to Him, we can. I know that God lives, I know that this is the true church upon the Earth that teaches the Gospel with the proper authority given from God. I know that my Redeemer lives and that He loves us all. This is my testimony, and my happy message to all.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the Church, and I've tried to stay strong within it my whole life. There were times when my family and I couldn't make it, but we did our best. But, when we moved to Florida, everything changed. My family became incredibly active and we all worked hard in our callings. The Church has turned out to be the greatest blessing in my life. Hands down. I served and honorable two year mission in the Philippines, and I have returned to serve faithfully in my stakes Young Single Adult Ward. I was called to be the Elders Quorum President, and can humbly say I tried my best for over a year in that calling. I was recently released and am now on "calling vacation". Even though all these things have been huge blessings in my life, they are just the fruits of my life in the Church. I love the Church. I strive to live as Christ and do the best I can to help others, to emulate the example of our leaders and to strive to become a leader myself. I love to be happy in the Gospel, and to share that happiness with others. The Gospel is joyous, and fills us with hope and peace. If we have such a great gift, why not share it with everyone we know? I strive to fulfill that question, sometimes I fall short, but I'm always working towards making people happy through the Gospel. It's my favorite :).
