Hi I'm Kaden

There are 9 people in my family. I am a college soccer player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of my hobbies include playing sports such as soccer, basketball and football, reading, and being with my friends. There are nine people in my family. I have a mother and father, one older and one younger brother, and four younger sisters. I am the second of these seven kids in my family. I am currently going to college which I am enjoying very much. I have no idea what I want to major in as i continue my college education, but i am excited to see where it leads me. Over the last few months I have had few different jobs. I worked at Old Navy for a few months before I then got a job at Pizza Pie Cafe. I am currently working there and am happily making pizzas that hopefully taste good. I am also currently a certified soccer referee and I ref youth soccer games several times throughout the week. I have also been doing some coaching for a local high school soccer team. I love going to amusement parks and riding all the roller coasters that are there. I love the thrill of my heart jumping into my throat and the feeling of you get in your stomach when you are on a steep hill. I love spending time with my friends. Many of them have gone away to college, but when they are in town I love being with them and seeing what they are up to. Something unique about me is that I have one leg that is just a little bit longer than the other. My left leg is about a half inch longer than my right leg. But I can hardly tell they are different at all.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the church is true. Ever since I was a little boy in primary I have known and felt that the church is true. I have always had strong examples in my life such as good parents and siblings that have also grown to show me the church is true. I have also spent time in church and in my room reading my scriptures and in various other meetings where I have been able to feel that the church is true. I think the biggest reason that I know that the church is true is through the way I feel about it. When I go to the meetings and different activities that are for my church I feel really good inside. I feel happy and peaceful and just like I am doing something that is right. I know I can always feel the influence of the spirit in my life when i try to and when I am doing the right things. I have a definite testimony that this church is true. I know that my Savior lives and that he bled and died willingly to save my soul. I know that he knows who I am and what my interests and dislikes are. I know that he knows what I am going through all the time and that if i turn to him he will help me through anything that I need help with. I know that Joseph was a real prophet of God and that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power and influence of our Heavenly Father. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the father and his son Jesus Christ in the grove of trees near his house. I know that this church is true because I can feel the influence of the spirit in my life telling me that it is. I can feel the power that this gospel brings to my life and I have been blessed with more than I could ever imagine because of it. I don't just believe, but I know that this church is true and that it is of God. I know the church is true, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

One way that I am involved with my community is through my local high school. I played soccer there for my four years in high school and I am now spending a little time coaching the new players who are coming in. In my ward I have a few different callings. One of the things that I do in the church is I go to the homes of two different families in my ward and just visit and check up on them. I go with my dad, and we just have a good time chatting and talking and getting to know these people in my ward. I also serve in my ward as a primary teacher for kids who are eleven and twelve years old. There are about 9 kids in my class. I team teach with my dad. It is a lot of fun to spend a couple of hours each week with these kids. They are a bunch of fun to be around and it is just a good time. One interesting story about the way I live my faith is that I have chosen to go on a two year mission. This last year as a freshman I played on the soccer team for my college. My coach told me that if I stayed at the college and did not go on a mission that I would continue playing and that for the next 3 years of college I would be the starting goalkeeper on the team. Even though my coach has told me this I have chosen to serve a mission for the next two years and then hope for the very best when I get home. I really love the church and I am excited to spend the next two years in the service of my Savior.
