Hi I'm Malia

I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. I love playing sports and spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love participating in any physical sports. I did track in high school and specifically did shot put and discus. I went on and threw shot put, weight, and hammer at the local community college. In high school I was able to go to the state championship all four years of my high school career in both shot put and discus. I love learning new things and using my hands. Being outside is where its at!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon technically because I was born and raised in the church. But as I have gotten older and some what wiser I have found that being a Mormon is much more than being taught from a young age the principles of the gospel. I have been taught and have now learned for myself that living the gospel principles and teachings make me happy. My life has been blessed beyond measure from living the principles that I have been taught from a young age. Blessings bring forth happiness in my case and there is only one thing in this world that I am guaranteed is that when I obey the gospel teachings and principles I am blessed and in return happy. Now just because I live the gospel does in no way exempt me from trials, tragedy, tribulations, or hardships, yet through the knowledge that I have from living the gospel I know that no matter the trial in the end Heavenly father is watching over me and that simple truth brings me so much peace and happiness that gets me through all the hard things of life.

How I live my faith

A big way I live my faith is that I am currently serving a Mission in Micronesia Guam. But besides serving a mission there are many other ways that I live my faith. I am able to serve. When I serve anybody in the smallest way it makes me happy. When I serve I am able to show others Christ-like love through my own hands. What greater priviledge than to preform small miracles for the Lord through your own two hands. I am a firm believer in getting to personally know all those you come in contact with. When we actually build relationships deeper than a " Hello, how are you doing?" our lives are blessed because it is then we are able to look beyond their imperfections and love them unconditionally. My life has been blessed for living my faith. When we put our words into action then that is when we are able to see and prefer small miracles and blessings to those around us.
