Hi I'm Marci

I just returned from my mission in the Maryland Baltimore Mission. I love being outdoors and meeting new people! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Marci. I have always lived in Utah. I just finished my freshman year at Utah State and loved in. I haven't decided what I am going to major in yet but I plan to go back there after my mission. I have been called to serve in the Maryland Baltimore Mission. I am the youngest of five kids. I love being with my family and spending time with them. I love running and being outside. I have a very strong testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and can't wait to share with others!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was blessed to be born into a family who were already members. My parents taught me gospel principles growing up and were very strong examples to me. I prayed in high school to know if this church was true. I got a very strong witness to me that it is. I especially came to know on my mission that the Lord answers prayers- even the ones that may seem small to us. Sisters use to have to be 21 years old to serve missions. In October 2012 the age was changed to 19 years old. At the time I was 18. I left on my mission shortly after I turned 19. I feel so blessed that I was able to be in the position and be at the right age to be able to go so soon. This strengthened my testimony that God truly does know me and where I am in my life. Before the age change I didn't understand why girls had to wait to be 21 years old because I wanted to go right then. I know that the Lord had been preparing me for this event and prepared me to be ready to go 2 years earlier than expected. I know going to the temple regularly helped me to be ready to go on my mission. The temple is a place where I go to feel the spirit strongly throughout the week. I know that it is the house of the Lord's and it's a place to go to get away from the world and to feel peace. I grew up reading The Book of Mormon. I often overlooked the blessing of it and the spirit in has brought into my life. Now that I am older, I can see how much The Book of Mormon has blessed me. I know that it is a true book, inspired by God, to help us in these days.

How I live my faith

I returned from my mission to Baltimore in December 2014. I loved being able to serve Heavenly Father, Christ and those who I was able to come in contact with. I learned so much about who I truly am- a daughter of God. It was hard being away from home for 18 months but it truly changed me and strengthened my testimony. Now that I am back home I am staying involved at the congregation that I go to. We have service opportunities, game nights, spiritual events, and church sports. I have been getting involved with doing my family history work which has been so fun to learn about my family! I also attend a religious class, called institute, twice a week at school.
