Hi I'm Sam

I live in Switzerland. I have a beautiful wife and four children. I design graphical user interfaces. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I guess I'm some sort of a geek. I have started my career as a software developer and now I'm working as an interaction designer. I love the aspect of creating something and I love to learn new stuff. At the moment, I work on a project in the biomedical field, which is very exciting. I have the impression that I learn something new everyday. I love my family and I think I'm happiest when I'm outdoors with them. My wife has to drag me out most of the time, but I love her for doing it. Once we're out there, we always find some small or big adventure with the kids. When I find the time and motivation I go running. That is when I can forget everything that is going on and just concentrate on my feet, my legs, my breathing, my pulse. It is the best way for me to unwind. I feel very blessed in my life and hope that I'm doing the best with what I've got.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have found peace and joy in living the gospel of Jesus Christ. And I feel that this gospel, the gospel of Jesus Christ is thought in a very complete way in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Living a Mormon live makes me happy.

How I live my faith

The most important part for me is to have a personal relationship with my father in heaven. This relationship I can best entertain through daily prayer, reading in the Bibel, the Book of Mormon and other scripture and serving the people around me. So, I'm trying to just do that. It is not always easy to set aside the time for these things, or to have open eyes for the people around me. But it is very rewarding and makes my days better. So I try to do good and to do God's will. And I fail. And then I try to do better, set new goals and make a little progress and feel happy about it. And what keeps me going is the belief and hope and faith that if I really try to do my best and be honest with myself and with god, that Jesus Christ will make up for the rest. And that gives me peace, security and joy in my life.
