Hi I'm Loren

I grew up in the little town of Elwood, Utah. I enjoy playing my violin, and singing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an avid reader, and enjoy all genres; whether it be history, fantasy, science fiction, nonfiction, I love to read it all. One of my interests growing up has been music. I have had the great privilege in pursuing the art, and skill, of singing and the violin. I have also had the opportunity to share these talents with my community; performing at little carnivals, plays, and cultural music events. I am honored to have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. The scouting program has played a critical role in my development. The program taught me about hard work, integrity, faith, and service through fun, and highly informative, games, lectures, and camp outs.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a part of this church because it feels right. When I listen to the words of the prophets, whether they be ancient, or modern, I feel a truthfulness of their message. When I try to live my life by their teachings I am afforded the blessings that come with following the instruction. It reinforces my trust that Heavenly Father is an active participant in our lives, and that He wants us to be happy and successful.

How I live my faith

One of the greatest lessons that Jesus Christ taught us was to love one another. I try to show my love with service. I try to help people whenever I notice a need. Whenever I am out and about, and I see someone needs assistance, like carrying furniture, I offer my services. I also open doors for people, pick up litter, and also give a much needed smile or greeting to people who need a little extra kindness.
