Hi I'm Laura Fillmore

I am in college. I love to learn and have fun. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23 years old. I am a senior in college studying human development. In my spare time, I love to cook, read, and play sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel the Spirit stronger in this church than any other. I know that the Holy Ghost can give the same witness to others if you will read The Book of Mormon. and sincerely pray to know whether this book of scripture is true. This is not to say the Bible is not the word of God. The Bible when accompanied with the Book of Mormon provide the fullness of the gospel. I also love the blessings available to me through this church. In a temple of God, families can start a journey to be together forever. Who honestly doesn't want to be with their family or significant other forever?

How I live my faith

I try to serve those around me and treat them as Christ himself would. I also strive to stay close to God. I do this as I follow His commandments, pray, and read his word in the Bible and The Book of Mormon. I also live my faith by being open with others about what I believe because it is part of my identity.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Laura Fillmore
The Savior counseled to feed his sheep, meaning sharing the gospel of Christ. By proselyting, we obey this commandment. In addition, missionaries have felt happiness from their membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and they want others to share in their happiness. Because of this desire for others' happiness, female missionaries volunteer to serve as a missionary for eighteen months and male missionaries for two years. Show more Show less
