Hi I'm Andrew David Tozer

I was born in the city of Plymouth in 1971 and am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, or in other words a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Andrew, born in the city of Plymouth in 1971, the second child of three born to David and Maureen. I have lived most of my life so far in the city of my birth and am in now my 42nd year. I have just the one child a daughter who is nearly 16 years old and have been married before but am now single. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have been since my baptism in 1999. I work full-time in my job and have done so since 2002. I have my own home here in the fair city of Plymouth, not far from the coast. On my days off and in my spare time I enjoy going to the cinema, bowling, going to the gym and traveling too Manchester to watch United play at Old Trafford. But I also like reading, writing, history and eating out when I get the chance to so do.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a member of the church? Well, I guess it is because when I heard the gospel being taught by missionaries of the church it all made sense, it felt like the missing pieces of a jigsaw, the answers to life's questions, being found and put into place and it still feels like that today.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church currently in my capacity of a home teacher with my teaching partner who is the Bishop of the ward I attend. Every month we meet with members of the church here in Plymouth to see how they are doing temporally and share important messages with them. People at my place of work know that I am a member of the church so it is important to me to live the standards of the church to set a good example to them.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Andrew David Tozer
People in the world frequently call us Mormons, and do not know that the true name of the church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The world often calls people or organisations by nicknames and so it is with the church, but what they do not realize is why they call us Mormons, it is simply because we accept the Book of Mormon as the word of God, another or second testament of Jesus Christ from the New World, just as the Bible is a testament of Jesus Christ from the Old World.
