Hi I'm Jordyn

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 19-years-old. I just finished my freshman year of college at Brigham Young University! I'm majoring in Biological Science Education. I want to teach biology. I love to sing and perform. I've been in musicals and choirs for a while now, and I love every minute. My dad was in the military so I've moved around quite a bit. I love to spend time with my awesome family and friends. I have an brother and sister and the cutest niece in the world with a second one on the way. I really like to talk. Talk to people, myself, a fish, anyone. I probably talk way to much, but it's all good. I enjoy giving big hugs, chocolate, PB and J sandwhiches, pajama pants, and playing in the rain with my friends. I love all Disney movies and The Hunger Games. I have three bestest friends in the whole world. We all became good friends about a year and a half ago. Even though we all go to different colleges and go through life, we are all still friends. I love life for the most part...except PMS...I don't like that part. But, LYFSGUD :)

Why I am a Mormon

Why I'm a Mormon? Well, I was raised in the church, but there are plenty of people that were raised in the church that aren't LDS anymore. I'm a Mormon because it brings me happiness. And not just the happiness from giving a hug or having a first kiss or eating a cookie. This kind of happiness comes from the Lord. It is happiness even in times of trouble. It is eternal happiness. With the Lord, I never long for more. I never wish my life was different. The only part I wish was different are my sins and weaknesses. The Lord strengthens me and comforts me. I'm a Mormon because it brings me closer to the Lord than anyone or anything else, because it is the only true church on this Earth.

How I live my faith

I will be serving a full-time mission here soon. I leave May 1st. So crazy. But, I'm ready to devote 18 months to the Lord and share the Gospel by simply loving people and helping them come to Christ by giving them opprotunities to feel the Spirit, and Let God teach them Himself. I just finished up at my BYU ward this last week. However, I was the compassionate service committee coordinator. So, long story short, I and the girls I worked with tried to do service for the girls in our ward. It was an amazing opprotunity and I loved every minute. There were some pretty amazing people I got to meet and help serve. I also was a visiting teacher. I loved visiting teaching. I was paired with an awesome girl, and we went and visted with two other girls every month and brought them a spiritual message.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You know, I have found that Church members and maybe even nonmembers can testify of the truthfullness of this Gospel until they're blue in the face. However, you will not know for yourself with a surity until the Holy Spirit testifies to you if it is true or not. You can feel the Spirit by reading the most correct book on Earth, Book of Mormon and by praying of it's truthfullness. The answer WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU. Show more Show less
