Hi I'm Tyler Ficiur

I grew in up in a small town in Canada. I'm a volleyball player, a curling instructor and a singer. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a high school graduate who went straight from High School into the mission field. During my high school years, I played Volleyball and Curling. I also had a volunteer position as a curling instructor for younger kids. I also volunteered at my high school during my last semester by helping teach an elementary school physical education class twice a week. I love working with kids. Since these experiences in High School, I've found a great love for service and helping those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love the gospel. I was raised LDS, but I chose to stay in the gospel because I could feel the difference it made in my life. In 2012, I got the chance to go spend a day in the Sacred Grove at the Joseph Smith Home in Palmyra, New York. There is just an amazing Spirit there, and once you've been there and have read the account of the First Vision there, there is no way I could deny it. Since my Mom wasn't raised LDS, I think that has changed my perspective on a lot of things. As I've been out on my mission, I have seen the gospel change the lives of many people. There have people that I've met out here that have changed my life and the way I live. I know that they were put there because my Heavenly Father loves me.

How I live my faith

I am an avid singer. I love singing. One of my favorite things to do is take songs from various artists ranging from plays like "Wicked" from Broadway to music from the Especially For Youth CDs. Right now, I'm currently serving in the Idaho Boise Mission. While I'm out, I get to learn to share the gospel with people and nothing has brought me greater happiness. The last year on my mission, I've found ways to start use my past in music to help those around me. I've been able to sing in a few missionary meetings and in a few of the Sacrament Meetings I've been in as well.
