Hi I'm Chad Battles

I grew up in Arkansas and am about to serve a two year mission. I''m a Mormon.

About Me

I am in a family of six. I have two older sisters and two younger brothers. I love to play sports like basketball, tennis, and football. I attend Brigham Young University of Idaho; majoring in Political Science. I want to get into politics and get involved with my family's business. I am currently serving a two year mission in Birmingham England.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Church. It's always been there for me. I've been able to learn that we have a Heavenly Father that loves and knows us. He wants us to have joy while here on Earth. Though the world offers many things that bring us comfort and sometimes contemporary happiness, the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings us eternal joy. Institutions of the world let us learn something but the Gospel of Jesus Christ challenges us to become something. I've been able to become the individual who can be looked to from others and can give advice. I have been able to onwardly progress towards what The Lord wants me to be. My continuing Faith in Jesus Christ has been able to open my eyes to the true principals which are taught here. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and sent his Son to Atone for our sins. And it is through that Atonement that we can repent and return to live with our Father and his Son Jesus Christ. My morals, my values, and my very eternal perspective is all a product of being a member and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have been able to participate in the community a lot. I have been class and student body president at my high school so I've always worked with the school board and community in planning events. I have also been able to participate in the Boy Scouts of America organization through the church. I was able to help the community through a career fair in which was used as my Eagle Project. Before my mission I was blessed with my first calling and responsibility as Activities Leader. I organized events and fun activities for our Young Single Adults.
