Hi I'm Krissie

I've lived in five states. I love to run track and cross country. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm finishing up my freshman year of college and am an exercise science major. I enjoy running, meeting new people, playing games and having a good time. I'm not sure yet what I want to go into but, I want to find something that can really make a difference. In high school, I volunteered with various organizations and really loved giving my time to others. I felt like I was making a difference and hope to find a career that does just that! Also in high school, I played soccer, ran cross country and track. I love distance running and the thrill that comes from racing. It makes everything come alive and helps me figure out whatever is going on in my life. I come from a pretty big family and they are my rock. Growing up, we'd play games together all the time, which instilled in me a love for quality time. I'm close to all members of my family and I can't imagine my life without them!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the church because of the Spirit, which I feel as I follow God's commandments. I am uplifted and strengthened as I practice what our church teaches. John 7:17 says that if we will do God's will, "he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God or whether I speak of myself." By practicing the doctrine of the church, I have had the Holy Spirit bear witness to me of the truthfulness of these doctrines. Once I discovered the true nature of the Gospel, I would never want to live any other way. People often ask me why I'm so happy and my simple answer is usually that life is good! Living the gospel makes me happy and knowing that Christ is there to bring me up when my spirits are low is so comforting to me. It helps me overcome the daily challenges of life and remember all the great things I have been blessed with.

How I live my faith

Having grown up in the church, I've had the opportunity to learn from the example of my parents. Whether it was helping the elderly in the ward or making dinner for a family with a new baby, my parents have always shown what it means to have the love of Christ. I live my faith by trying to follow Him.
