Hi I'm Ian

I love the outdoors, weightlifting, and learning. I am 25 years old and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending Utah State University. I plan to get a masters degree in Electrical Engineering and Business, and starting a family of my own. I served a Spanish speaking mission in Anaheim, CA from 2013 to 2015, and I was sealed to my high school sweetheart in the Washington DC Temple in December of 2015. I grew up in South Western Pennsylvania, with my amazing family. "The family is ordained of God, and is therefore the most important social unit in this life, and also for eternity." My parents have raised my older brother and I, better than I could have ever hoped for.

Why I am a Mormon

I first started going to church with my high school girlfriend, who is now my wife. I attended church for three years before getting baptized. Little by little I made many changes in my life, one example being that I quit drinking alcohol. After two and a half years going to church, I decided that I wanted to find out for myself if the church that I had been attending truly is the same church that Jesus Christ established. I read the Book of Mormon in less than 3 months and knew without any doubt that it is the word of God, as is the Bible. Undoubtedly the two best decisions of my life have been to be baptized and to serve as a full time missionary to help others to find this same truth. I know that we are all children of our Heavenly Father, that Jesus Christ is our savior, and that through him and because of his atonement, we can live with our Father in Heaven again. Jesus Christ established this church during his ministry, and it was restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that anyone who is honestly seeking the truth "will" receive the same answer that I have received. I am eternally grateful to Heavenly Father for helping me to discover his will for me, this true path, through my missionary - my girlfriend. She has been such a wonderful example to me, and has taught me how to pray to a God that at times in my life I didn't know existed, how to read and understand the scriptures, and how to change. My life has forever been changed.

How I live my faith

I am now a missionary, I help others to find the same truth and happiness that I have found. I am so blessed to have found the restored Church of Jesus Christ, and want to share it with others so that they can find out for themselves if it is true, and so they can be together with their families forever. Our families are meant to be together forever. This is possible through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and through the Priesthood - the power and authority of God given to man. Just like how Jesus gave Peter this power... Mathew 16: 19 "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." This is what marriage is intended to be, this is what our Heavenly Father wants for each family.
