Hi I'm Cody Peterson

I have grown up in West Valley City, Utah, and I have been called to the Ohio Cleveland Mission to serve for two years.

About Me

My Hobbies and Interest are Sports, hanging out with missionaries, hanging out with friends, and camping. I am an easy going guy that likes to be friends with everyone around me. I am planning to go to Dixie State after my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I am very young I have learned a great deal about my God and his son Jesus Christ. It has although taken me along time to understand him. I have studied it out in my head how God couldn't be real and can be real. I learned the hard path of repentance that I am most grateful for that the lord gave to me. I learned the hardship of being alone and not knowing were to go, and I have found God. I learned that through The Book of Mormon I need to trust in God maybe even learned to trust myself, I learned that happiness doesn't come through earthly possessions but in the friendships that I gain and the family that I have. God has shown me my life, and the Mormon Church or as I like to say it The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints supports all of which I believe. That is why I am a Mormon that is why I now go forth to follow as Joseph Smith did to proclaim the gospel and bring others to the gospel to feel the warmth of Gods love and care that I feel in this church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to make my calling better then the way it started as. It has although helped having leadership callings to help me do this. I live the faith being, or becoming a better person. This is by serving others instead of myself. This helps me understand that I am insignificant in the world but in my Lords eyes he sees me as a person of value and willing to do what he ask.

What is faith?

Cody Peterson
Faith is believing in something that you cannot see. Faith reminds me of the movie Polar Express. It showed how you can't here the bells ringing when you don't believe in Santa Clause but when the little boy said he believe in Santa he could here the Bells and he could not believe how magical and soothing the music was. To put this in as some would say it Mormon perspective. You may not believe God exists or there is another life after this, but you are then over come with doubt, and fear so you can't here what God is trying to tell you. But when you put aside your pride and humble yourself and believe in God. You then become stronger and you then learn and hear the music that you have been avoiding and then you become and understand what it means to be happy. Show more Show less
