Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a daughter and a sister. I love volleyball. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a junior in college. I am majoring in American Studies and minoring in Political Science. In the future, I would love to work with refugees in the United States. My father was in the military so I grew up moving all over the world. I love being with my family and traveling. I love playing volleyball and rummikub. I particularly enjoy Indian food.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of this church and was baptized when I was eight years old. I grew up going to church every Sunday and attending activities. By the time I was in High School, I realized I was not attending church because I had to, but because I wanted to. When I do what I know is right, I am happier in all aspects of my life. I have a testimony that the Jesus Christ is my savior. I know that because of Jesus Christ and the Atonement, when I repent, I can be forgiven of my sins and return and live with my Heavenly Father and my Family. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God. I also know that the scriptures, including the Bible and the Book of Mormon, also contain the word of God. I know that Heavenly Father wants his children to be happy and that is why He has provided the scriptures and prophets to lead and guide us.

How I live my faith

Both of my parents are members of the church and I grew up as a member as well. I love attending my church meetings. Recently, I served as a sunday school teacher to the other women that I attended church with in college. I really enjoyed having discussions with women my age and learning from their diverse backgrounds. I am about to leave and become a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I will be serving in Australia. Even though I know that it will be hard work, I am excited to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
