Hi I'm Joshua

I grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. I love music. I sing, I love learning new things, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama and I love being Mormon. When I was very young, my oldest sister got the rest of my siblings into video games, so I grew up playing and watching Starcraft, Zelda, and Final Fantasy with my brother and sisters. I have many special memories of playing those games, and I want other kids to be able to have similar experiences with their families; so I hope to be able to make video games in my future career so others can continue to make those special memories. I love my family for all the things I'm able to learn from them. My mother gave me my love of music and art. My father gave me guidance and helped me have morals in an ever changing world. My siblings taught me to get along with people instead of throwing things at them. I love learning and my family has taught me more than anyone else.

Why I am a Mormon

The simple answer is: because the Holy Ghost has testified to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's true church on the earth today. The longer answer has to do with the collection of experiences that I've had with the church and the people that call themselves Mormon. When I see the love that these people have for each other, and when I see how their righteous actions affect others positively, my testimony in the gospel of Jesus Christ is enhanced. My testimony has not actually come all at once in one grand experience, but gradually over the years. All the small and great acts of kindness I've seen, the witnesses I have recieved from the Holy Ghost, and the great people I've had the opportunity to associate with all contribute to my being and staying Mormon.

How I live my faith

I'm one of those missionaries you see walking or biking around in the Spokane, Washington area. My companion and I go out daily to find and invite people to come unto Christ and exercise faith in Him by reading the Book of Mormon and praying to know if it is not true. We love doing service, so we try to help the community by asking everyone we encounter if there is any service we can provide or work we can do for them. I know that as we invite everyone we talk to and encounter to come unto Christ that we will find the people that God has prepared to recieve the restored Gospel.

Are Mormons Christians?

Joshua
The answer is an emphatic YES. We believe in and worship the Lord Jesus Christ. The Oxford Dictionary defines Christian as: "a believer in Jesus Christ and his teachings." In addition, the Book of Mormon states: "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that He lived and died for us so that we might have eternal life. Show more Show less
