Hi I'm Nathan

I grew up in Utah. I enjoy the outdoors. I love helping others and smiling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up, I had the blessing of having parents that taught me how to work. So I worked my tail off in everything I did (well, almost everything). In school, I enjoy the fruits of my labors with a scholarship, but I still have plenty of bills to pay. I'm exploring my career options right now but still find time to work, serve, and also have fun with my family and friends. Some things I most enjoy include sports, outdoor activities, a good movie or game, writing, and especially helping out my fellow man. I take joy in serving those around me in any way I can. The best service I am rendering is fulfilling the Savior's command to "take the gospel to all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Ghost," to bring more souls unto Him; so they too can find the happiness the gospel has brought me.

Why I am a Mormon

People might think that just because you were born and raised to be LDS all your life, that we can't really call ourselves believers because we haven't experienced anything else. Well, they're right that I've never investigated outside the church, but that's because I don't need to. If I want to know if something's true, I don't have to try out every other religion first to come to a conclusion. I do my experimenting inside that religion, where you can learn exactly how it works and how you like it. I'm a Mormon, because I can feel, actually feel, the happiness and the difference this church makes in my life, and I love it. I've asked God personally if this is His church and He has answered my prayer through the Holy Ghost. God lives, His Son Jesus Christ atoned for us, and we can receive the direction and guidance we need through the Holy Spirit. Being a Mormon provides all of that, and more. If there is any kind of happiness that a righteous soul desires, it is to be found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. God loves us too much for there to be confusion about who we are and our purpose here in life. He has provided a way for us all to return to His presence, no matter how far we may seem at this moment. Remember, Jesus died and suffered for YOU. Don't you want to know how to acquire that happiness through forgiveness? I know this to be true, for I have witnessed it for myself.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church isn't just something you fulfill on Sunday. It's every day of my life. I give thanks to God in the morning and in the evening for what I am blessed with, and also ask for His aid both in mine and others' favor. Live as Christ would, is basically what it comes down to. Every day I have the opportunity to share the happiness and joy of the Savior's restored gospel with my fellow man. And now that I know Spanish, I can share it with even more people. It brings me the greatest joy I've ever felt.
