Hi I'm Ben

I'm an IT Specialist. I love video games and programming. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm your regular run of the mill guy. I love everything IT. If it's new technology related, I dig it. I'm currently going to school for Information Systems, but my heart is in programming. Information Systems is a nice balance between business and IT I feel like. I love video games, learning, and hanging out with my family. I've been married to my wife for almost two years now and we have two cats, Fiona and Aurora.

Why I am a Mormon

The world has become so wicked lately. So full of awful degrading things that I cling to my religion because that's where I feel safe and protected from the influence of the world. The world teaches us to be free with our bodies, our morals, and our decisions. But that's not freedom. It's exercising a little freedom for a little fun, and then we're caught in Satan's snares. There is nothing in the world like the peace of feeling the loving acceptance of our Savior Jesus Christ. I bear testimony that he is real, his Atonement is real, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was born into the church and spent a good amount of time following my own path, ignoring what I had been taught. I was miserable. It wasn't until I came back to church and truly came to know my Savior, Jesus Christ, before my life turned for the better. I have a wonderful wife, a great job, I'm working towards my degree, two kittens, a running vehicle, and wonderful in-laws. The Church has brought me so much peace and plenty and I want others to experience the joy that comes from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church regularly, trying to stay close to principles I know to be true, and following the counsel of the prophets. I've served in the church to help lift my brothers and sisters and to be taught and grow from their examples. I've taught classes, served in leadership positions and helped with communications and emergency preparedness.
