Hi I'm Chris

I'm a nerd, a music enthusiast, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23 years old, recently married to my beautiful wife Lizy, and starting my senior year at BYU-Idaho. In my adolescence, despite being raised by wonderful church going parents, I somehow convinced myself that there was no God. Such trains of thought can often lead down a life path of destruction, which I was rapidly traveling. Thankfully, at the age of 18 a devoted Bishop took the time to get to know me, find out what I loved, and became my friend. That Christ-like charity given to me freely was rapidly reciprocated; eventually leading to me turning my life around, gaining a testimony of the restored gospel, serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and enrolling at BYU-Idaho. That Bishop’s love marked a turning point in my life, and it was because he gave everything he had to benefit me. The acknowledgement of that virtue has caused me to strive to do the same throughout my pursuits. I recognize that in my position right now, I have nothing I can give other than time and talents, which is why I have become actively involved in making a positive impact and change while here at BYU-Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy... and I think that's the whole point :)

How I live my faith

I strive to live my life by a self-made motto: I have, will, and will always use those attributes I have been blessed with to improve the environment I am in, within whatever sphere of influence I have. To become like Christ is to give all we have to benefit others, that is what I strive to do every day.
