Hi I'm Travis Clemons

I was born and raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints. I will never deny It. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey Everyone! I am currently a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints. My duty is to invite others to come to Christ, and "others" means everyone, even members of my own faith. I want everyone to know about the love they can feel from God. I was raised in the Church until I was old enough to understand what this Church was about and if I believed in it, and I full-heartedly know it is true. I'm your basic average person, but I know that in God's eyes, that I'm not average. I'm unique and loved by him. I live in a family of 5; a mom and a dad plus 2 sisters. Both of my sisters have moved out of the house, Which just leaves me and my parents. I grew up many playing sports; Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, and later Lacrosse. But after some time my academics forced me to discontinue those sports. I have retained straight A's my entire life to better obtain a good education to support my future family. I love doing things outdoors, hiking, shooting, archery, fishing, anything. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family socializing. But what I love most, Is having this priviledge to go out and serve my Lord. I've never been happier.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church. However, I am old enough to be able to make decisions for myself. I'm not pressured by anyone to believe and participate in this Church, Christ's Church. I know, without a doubt, that this Gospel is true. I know that not only God is a God of billions but also a God of the individual. He personally knows my needs, struggles, talents, and strengths. As well as everyone else. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and translated the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Christ. The promise found in Moroni 4:10 is absolutely honest. I have many times read the Book of Mormon, and each time I put Moroni's promise to the test, I sincerely ask Heavenly Father if this book, the Book of Mormon, is true. And each time I receive an answer. Whether it be an overwhelming feeling of comfort and peace, or a full, undeniable sense of love, it's an answer. I know I am a part of Christ's true church. He is the only way to return to Heavenly Father. Because Christ paid the price of justice for my sins, I can use the Atonement to repent of my sins, and become clean again. My faith is unalterable, my foundation unbreakable. I know this Gospel is true.

How I live my faith

I have attended my church faithfully nearly every week, with exceptions for sickness. I attend Sacrament meeting, which is similar to Mass, to listen to everyday people talk about God and how to grow closer to him and also participate in partaking of the bread and water. I attend Sunday School which is where I gather with other young adults to learn about Jesus Christ and God. After Sunday School I attend Priests Quorum, which is where young men my age gather and learn our duties as priesthood holders and how to properly use our priesthood. I'm a home teacher, I monthly check up on the families that I am assigned and teach them lessons and learn about their lives, and how I can help them in their lives. I've also held many church leader ship positions, but just ones over my fellow young adults. Such as a Counselor in priests quorum, etc. Throughout my life I have learned that faith and this Gospel, aren't practiced merely on Sundays, but every single moment of life. I live and breath this Gospel every moment of my existence.
